  Are you looking for something to do?  Become a member of the Friends of the Job Lane House, Inc., (Friends)  and become a Volunteer. The Friends hold events throughout the year, and we need volunteers. 
  • Mailing out the Newsletter (Folding, addressing envelopes, mailing)
  • Spring and Fall clean up (House and Barn, including Gift Shop)
  • Herb Garden, assist Garden Club on Tuesday mornings to weed.
  • Craft Faire (Gate keepers, helping set up crafters)
  • Open House (Putting out signs, greeting visitors)
  • Memory Lane Gift Shop Sales (Selling merchandise, writing a sales slip)
  • Tour Guide (We will train you to be a guide, learn the history of Bedford, and the house, the Lanes and Duttons.)
  • July 4th and Bedford Day:  (Help with the booth to set up and sell our merchandise.)

Note:  Handouts are provided that answer most questions, including History of the Job Lane House, Architecture of the Job Lane House, Rufus Porter Murals, The Lillian Dutton Garden, Barn Building, and more. In addition, the Barn offers space for demonstrators, such as:  Music, Colonial clothing, Spinning, Lace Making, Weaving, and Basket Making.
